2021 Goodbye Post :)

 Hi Bloggers 

This is going to be my last post of the year because I am moving school next year I am going to Villa.I have been at Yaldhurst for 5 years because I used to go to west melton school but then I moved to Yaldhurst and have been here ever since. I am really exited to move school and make new friends. But I will miss all of the smily faces that I get to see everyday In my classroom & talking with my friends. I am very nervous becuase there is going to be so many more kids then at Yaldhurst right now but I am still exited for it.

Summer Learning Journey - Teaser Actitivity.

On Monday 13th of December the Summer Learning Journey 2021-2022 starts and there will be lots of fun and intresting activitys to do and earn points and get cool prizes. Grow Something - 2021

 Hi Bloggers 

This term my class had to plant beans or cress heads but I chose to do beans. We had to grow plants for pet day and we where trying to grow the biggest and tallest bean & I think mine is pretty big. I really enjoyed watching these plant grow from day to day and hopefuly soon they form beans!

Cybersmart Challenge 26 - Create your own Drawing

This week we did a Cybersmart challenge 26.

 We had to make a new Google drawing and make a image on monster using only shapes and other tools. I liked this activtied because it was very creative because you made it your self. This was also very challenging because I am not a very creative person so It was a little bit hard for me to get this done. We also had to name our monster so I named my Bluey because he is mainly blue and I did not know what else to call it.

Korfball

On Wednesday we got to play a game of korfball at our school. First we got to play with 2 rules they were no kicking the ball and no physical contact.  Then we started playing with more rules untill we got the rule correctly. The other rules were no running with the ball and some of the other rules where that you could not shoot the ball into the hoop if someone was infront of you and the same gender of you was the only one that could defende you.

Today we learnt how to spot scams and fhishings on the internet it was a cybersmart challenge Number 23. 

I also found out that I am a digital native because  I was born when computers and phones were being released and were a thing.released

Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori - Māori Language Moment 2021!

This week we had Maori Language Week and Maori Language Moment. 

It was fun becuase we did Kapa Haka on Tuesday the day of  Maori Language Moment. 

We also have a Whakatauki every week and each day we have to say it out loud.

Inquiry - How to spot a liar

On friday we learnt how to spot of lair from some videos. It was very fun and now I can tell if someone is lying. We also played a game about guessing whos pig was which and trying to trick people that where laughing becuase it was hard. There was a online game that we played and we had to spot the lair it was fun too.

Today we learnt about Roman Numerals  and it dose look very hard but then it is very easy when you get the hang of it. It also is very fun and sometimes challenging. Maybe somtime you could try roman numerals and you might like it if you like coding and things like that.

Teaching Session - Fine Art Friday!

Today we had a teaching session on hangout with some of my class and we did art and this is a video of how to draw it but when I saw it I thought that it was going to be really hard but it actually was not that hard to draw becuase you just did lines and line and kept going with lines. 

My art work that I made is not that good but the ones in the video are so good.

My Pet Slime 7

 Hi Bloggers

This term I have been reading My Pet Slime 1-8 on Epic it is very intresting and funny. This book is intresting because you might get surprised at what happends in the story. 

Epic is a reading tool that you can read so many books that you can read and you also get badges and other things like that. There is heaps of diffrrent books like Comic,Audio Book,Videos,Reading Books,Read to me and others like that. 

All I will tell you is that there is a girl that is allergic to lots and lots of animals but there is one thing she is not allergic to. What do you think it is without looking at this book and reading it? 

I would reccomend this for kids that like intresting book and like space and tricks.There is 10 episodes to read from but acally you don't have to read them becuase epic can read to you.

Student Summit 2021

Today we have been at the Student Summit at Hormby Primry. 

We had lots of slides to do and we learnt so many things about things online. The activtys that I did was Upgrading your google slides, Making quizs from google froms, Codey Rocky and Animaker. We all had 4 sessions to do theses activities in 20 minutes to do these activitys in. My favortie was Upgrading your Google slides and then Making quizzes from google forms. There were a coulple of schools here like Hormby Primary , Hormby High, Wrigram, South Hormby, Gilbthorpes, St Bernadettes and more.

I liked this Student Summit becuase the activties were fun and I liked the experience becuase I had never done this before and it was fun. I went with my class but not eveyone went because we could chose if we wanted to go or not.

Today I will be talking about Pink Shirt Day!

Pink Shirt Day is when everyone wheres pink if they want to because it represents Bullying. 

Bullying is where people are mean to you over and over again, it is not nice when you get bullyed by other people.

The reson that people where Pink is becuase some people think that Pink is a girl colour so thats why people where Pink. 

I think that Colours like Pink & Purple are girls colours but I think that all colours are Boy and Girl colours what about you?

Camp Series - Post 3 / Memories

This post is going to be about Memories from camp but this is my last post for Camp Series at Waipara Adventure Center . Today I will be showing you my most funnest Memories at Camp. I had lots of fun with my class at camp the activitys were the most fun because you got to do somthing that you usally don't do at home or when you go out.

Camp Series - Post 2 - Movie Night/Spotlight

I am back with part two of Camp Series at Waipara Adventure Center today this post is going to be about movie night we had at camp on the second night we watch a movie and then we played spotlight. Here is a slide about the movie we watched and how to play spolight.

Movie Night was very fun and we also had popcorn and a Lollie pop.

I have seen this movie a lot with my sister she likes it becuase she dose gymnastics. I think you should watch this movie if you like dancing and gymnatics becuase its a really good movie.

Swim Fun at YMS!

  For the last two weeks we had swimsafe instructors came to our school to teach us about swimming safety.

The thing I will remember the most about this years swimming lessons is learning new things and going under the boat because I don't like it but I am geting used to it!

Activty with Nanogirl! SLJ

Today we had to build an Anti Gravity Glass with Nanogirl. 

There were two different activitys to do, so I did them both. 

I liked the first one because it was fun watching the card stay on the cup while it was in the air. But on my first try the water fell on me because I forgot to hold it so it Exploded all over me!

Some parts were a little bit Tricky because it you don't hold it right then it could Exploded all over you and you do not want that to happen. 

I also enjoyed that the water can stay in the cup by itself, but you just have to be careful that you don't make the water come out and go everywhere.
